4th annual family float report

This weekend's family float trip down the Meremec was so much fun, wasn't it? Some highlights:

-Phil and Ben rocked out on acoustic guitars. And Danno played the Harmonica. He knows the Star Wars theme! Woo!

-As Joan pointed out, Jake was playing the role of super-dog. Swimming and running almost all 9 miles, making new friends and keeping his eye on us.

-Amy... Sans kids. Oh my. Where do I begin? Well I guess I could just say "Splits on a moving schoolbus full of people" and you would know all you needed to know :)

-There were big thunder storms that kept getting closer and closer. But none of them hit us! They just kind of rolled along side of us. There was a little bit of rain, but no one was struck by lightning.

- Freshly caught trout for breakfast, anyone? Yum!!

- I missed Lucy and Brian's big flip over, but apparently it was spectacular. And it wasn't Lucy's fault. It was something under water.

- Sue got flipped over twice by her sisters. Phil and I did get revenge, though.

-I also missed the cliff jumping. Somehow Jack and I got almost an hour ahead of everyone else!? Slow-pokes. We got a nap in while we were waiting for them to catch up, though :)

To sum it all up: Cold cold water, river singalongs, Amy hugging everybody, sunshine, laughter, s'mores, campfire songs, beer and good conversation. Good times.
