Sharon to be Associate Professor of Biology

Hi all.

Sharon has accepted a position in Jacksonville, IL for an Associate professor of Biology. Fun!

Anyway we will most likely be moving in the next 8 months to Alton,IL or Louisiana, MO so she will be able to drive to work without going insane.

See you all soon!

Steph-
Cool about Maryland Heights. Nice area ;-) Close to everything.

new year new job new home

Whew! So I sent an e-mail out with my new work phone number, right? My e-mail will remain the same, by the way. The new job is going well. I'm still kind of transitioning into it, switching back and forth between my new and old duties until they find a replacement for the old position. I'm learning a lot already, and am embracing the challenges.

Also, I have another big anouncement! Jack and I are moving! We got a new apartment in the Maryland Heights area. It's much much much closer to work (for both of us), and closer to most of the family. We got a great deal and we're very excited about the change. I don't have an address or anything yet. Our move-in date is February 25th, which is a Saturday. I'm sure we could use some help that weekend ;)

Hope everyone else is having a great 2006!!

Love, steph

new year, new ideas

Hi all! I hope everyone is having a good new year. If you made any resolutions and are sticking to them, good for you, keep it up, champ!! Although it is only 9 days into 2006, life is starting to get back to normal. We have all these hopes and ambitions for all the shiny new opportunities and habits we plan for ourselves when a new year rolls around. Then life just kind of, well, goes back to it's same ol' routines. Because a new year doesn't mean a whole new life. It's just a date change.

Well, how about thinking smaller? Creating little excercises for change and going on tiny adventures making wee discoveries? Just making yourself smile by doing something a little out of the ordinary is easy. It can boost your creativity and activity and joy, thereby boosting your physical and mental health a bit.

I'm loving this List of 100 ideas...a work in progress. It's just a fun list of small things to do and try.

Do you guys have any ideas? Leave 'em in the comments.

(ps I remember now! I posted a similar list by this same person last March.)
